History

Discover the history of B2P, from its beginnings as a freight exchange to its status as a benchmark in the transport and logistics industry. Follow B2P's journey, marked by innovation and the creation of a complete universe of solutions dedicated to professionals in the sector.

The origins of B2P

B2P was created in 2006, when Benoît Aujay encouraged his partner to develop an audacious project: to create an alternative to the existing monopoly in the freight transport market.

This is how BDFWeb took its first steps as a freight exchange. The company has grown from 8 shareholders in 2009 to 160 employees today.

Since then, when B2P's teams develop their solutions, they do so with the same objective as in the early years: to offer a high-quality, reliable service at a fair rate.

BDFWeb freight exchange becomes B2PWeb

In 2010, BDFWeb grew thanks to the support of road transport professionals. These professionals decided to join forces through the holding company H2P and BDFWeb was rebranded B2PWeb.

It was then that B2PWeb began to be supported by various players in the sector:

  • Associations : ASTRE, ASTR, EVOLUTRANS, FLO, FRANCE BENNE, FRANCE PLATEAUX, TRED UNION
  • Groups : GEFCO, GEODIS CALBERSON, GEODIS BM, MORY, RAVE, STEF, STG
  • Professional federations : FNTR, OTRE, TLF et UNOSTRA

Three years later, B2PWeb established itself as the benchmark freight exchange in France.

Launch of GedTrans, a transport-related legal document management service

Faced with the growth of B2PWeb, the H2P holding company decided to expand its range of services and launched GedTrans in 2015.

GedTrans is a platform designed to simplify the administrative task of updating, collecting and checking transport documents.

GedMouv logo

Launch of GedMouv: a solution for sharing information on delivery transactions

In a context where transparency and security are essential concerns for industries and hauliers, the arrival of a traceability tool is obvious.

This is how GedMouv came about in 2018. B2P has developed a simple, centralised solution that allows both transport actors and their haulier customers to exchange delivery data securely.

Fifty Truck becomes B2P Optim, a search assistant for loads by route

H2P is pursuing its goal of making life easier for hauliers with the acquisition in 2019 of Fifty Truck, a tool that uses a complex algorithm to optimise the search for loads within a route.

The tool is now called B2P Optim and is available directly on the B2PWeb freight exchange.

The B2P Optim functionality even received the ‘Solar Impulse Efficient Solution’ award in 2022, being recognised as an effective and economical solution for protecting the environment!

eProtocol logo

Acquisition of eProtocole, a platform for dematerialising security protocols

In 2019, eProtocole was added to the range of services provided. Until now, a safety protocol, a mandatory document for any loading or unloading operation, was shared on paper.

eProtocole modernises this practice by offering a collaborative solution that simplifies the sharing of dematerialised documents.

Logo Le Transport Recrute

Acquisition of the Le Transport Recrute platform, a recruitment website dedicated to the transport and logistics sectors

Developed by the Association Le Monde du Transport Réuni in 2019, the platform was acquired by H2P in 2022 and has been managed by the B2P teams ever since.

Le Monde du Transport Réuni and the B2P teams are committed to promoting job vacancies in their industry to candidates, trainees and qualified workers.

Today, these solutions revolve around a common core: the B2P universe

In 2023, B2PWeb and S2PWeb joined forces to combine their strengths and offer an even wider range of solutions to supply-chain professionals.

The company becomes B2P, bringing together the B2PWeb, GedTrans, GedMouv, eProtocole and Le Transport Recrute brands. These brands support more than 30,000 companies in Europe, making B2P a major player in the transport and logistics sector.

Faced with this evolution, the teams have made a promise: to continue to grow, always putting their customers' needs at the centre of their missions.
